Unexplained water use, low pressure or a suspected supply leak needs a defined investigation.
Describe the change with usable records
Keep the bill period, safely accessible readings and observations together. Explain whether low pressure affects one fixture or the whole home and when it began. Do not handle sealed utility equipment or force a meter valve. A reading difference describes use; it does not locate a leak.
Confirm the responsibility boundary
Use the water supplier named on the account when asking about meter or public-system concerns. For private supply work, ask which section the business will inspect and how a suspected defect will be confirmed. A postal label does not settle line ownership, parcel jurisdiction or appointment availability.
Compare the complete repair scope
Ask how access, excavation, connection materials, testing and surface restoration are handled. Clarify permits and the expected water interruption. Keep bill-adjustment questions with the actual utility; a repair does not itself guarantee a credit.
Questions before authorizing work
- What does the assessment include and cost?
- Which findings support the proposed work?
- What is excluded, and how will changes be approved?
- How will the completed work be checked?
